Thermo-modernisation of the public buildings of Trzebnica Poviat

 Trzebnica Poviat, thanks to the external funds, is constantly changing for the residents. The development of the  Project „Thermo-modernisation of the public buildings of Trzebnica Poviat” is coming to an end and the planned date of the technical acceptance  of the works in Poviat Family Assistance Centre building is December 2016. The main aim of the Project “Thermo-modernisation of the public buildings of Trzebnica Poviat” is the improvement in energy efficiency in buildings of the Poviat Family Assistance Centre in Trzebnica, Group of Poviat Special Needs Schools and Educational Institutions in Trzebnica and the Władysław Reymont Group of Poviat Schools in Oborniki Śląskie. Taken actions are aimed at reducing CO2 emissions to 334,54 Mg/yr.

Project “Thermo-modernisation of the public buildings of Trzebnica Poviat” includes the implementation of the following tasks:

1.                  Group of Poviat Special Needs Schools and Educational Institutions in Trzebnica, 1 Nowa Street thermal insulation works on external walls, flat roof and ground walls, replacement of basement window carpentry, modernization of the heating network, installation of energy management system and new gas boilers in the building.

2. Group of Poviat Władysłąw Reymont Schools in Oborniki Śląskie, 18 Wrocławska Street: thermal insulation works on external walls of sports centre, replacement of window and door carpentry, insulation of the external walls of the school, insulation of the flat roofs, modernization of the indoor heating network, installation of the energy management system in the building.

3. Poviat Family Assistance Centre in Trzebnica, 10 Kościuszki Street: insulation of external and ground walls, modernization of internal facilities, heating network of the energy management system in the building, modernization of internal facilities of the hot water heater, installation of electric immersion water heater, insulation of the flat roof.

The project was co-financed from the Operational Programme PL04 “Saving energy and promoting renewable energy sources". Subsidy of 890 234 PLN was granted from funds coming from Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009-2014”.

Estimated total cost of the project „Thermo-modernisation of the public buildings of Trzebnica Poviat” amounted to about 2 mln PLN.

EEA funds and Norwegian funds, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway contribute to reducing social and economic inequalities and strengthening bilateral relations with beneficiary countries in Europe. The three countries work closely with the EU on the basis of the Agreement on the European Economic Area (EEA Agreement).

In the period 2009-2014, the value of EEA funds and Norwegian funds amounts to 1.79 billion EUR. Norway provides about 97% of total funding. The funds are available for NGOs, research institutions and universities, the public sector and the private sector in 12 newly admitted EU Member States, as well as in Greece, Portugal and Spain. Thanks to them, there is a great collaboration between these countries and the projects can be implemented by 2016. The most important areas of support are environmental protection and climate change, research and scholarships, civil society, health protection and support for children, gender equality, justice and cultural heritage.
